White Lion Performance Group is committed to protecting the privacy and security of your information. This privacy notice explains in detail the types of personal data we may collect about you when you interact with us. It also explains how we’ll store and handle that data, and keep it safe, in keeping with the EU's General Data Protection Regulation. It is likely we’ll need to update the privacy notice from time to time. You are welcome to ask us questions about this policy or check back for updates at any time.

We comply the EU's data protection law. This says that the personal information we hold about you must be:

  2. Collected only for valid purposes are clearly explained to you and not used in any way that is incompatible with those purposes.

  3. Relevant to and exclusively limited to the purposes we have told you about.

  4. Accurate and kept up-to-date.

  5. Kept only as long as necessary for the purposes we have told you about.

What Kind Of Data Do We Collect?

  • Personal Information (i.e. your name)

  • Contact Details (i.e. E-Mail address, phone number, address)

  • Usage Data (i.e. website visits, usage time, interests)

  • Device Details (i.e. device information, IP-address)

  • Correspondence Data (i.e. when you email or work with us)

  • Details of anyone who represents you (i.e. lawyer, agents)

  • Details of anyone who is professionally affiliated with you (i.e. federations, universities)

When is Data Collected?

We collect information that you provide when you contact or choose to work with us. This includes situations in which:

  • you use our website

  • you provide information to us through inquiry, request, or services

  • you respond to any surveys

  • you provide us information regarding your organisation, team, or individuals

  • you sign up for our mailing list

  • your organisation provides us with your information.

How Do We Use Your Data?

Data Protection law protects your information.  There are rules in our legislation which add additional legal protections by limiting when we can share information and ensuring that, if information is made public, we are not allowed to include names or identifiers.

We do:

  • require your consent. You can revoke this at any time!

  • aim to improve your online experience with your usage information (see Website Analytics below)

  • allow White Lion marketing team to analyse anonymous data (see Website Analytics below)

  • share pieces of non-identifying information when needed (i.e. with partner companies, contracted staff members, teaching, scientific conferences/workshops)

  • release necessary data if a court or law tells us we have to release information

We do not:

  • allow third parties to process your information without our instructions and without a strict confidentiality and security agreement

  • sell your information to third parties

  • provide your affiliates, representatives, or institutions with your data without your consent

  • allow personal, contact, or correspondence data to be accessed in our database by anyone except White Lion staff

How And Where Do WE Store Your Data?

Storage: We store your data in an appropriately secure database to prevent your personal information from being accidentally lost, used, or accessed in any unauthorised way. Our staff is subject to a duty of confidentiality. Additionally, we have procedures in place to deal with any suspected data security breaches, and will notify you of such a situation where we are legally required to do so.

Transfer: As White Lion Performance is an international company, your data is stored on a secure server in the United States and may be accessed globally by any White Lion employee or, as stated above, partially viewed by our contractors or partner companies. These locations include, but are not limited to, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and the European Union. We do not allow access to or transfer of your data without your consent unless a binding commitment is in place on both sides, requiring adequate protection and  confidentiality to the standard stated above. 

Retention & Destruction: Your information will be stored securely from its initial collection for five years from the date of our last contact with you, or until you request its destruction. As you have the right to erasure according to the EU-GDPR, we will permenantly delete the records you request, so that they are no longer accessible or traceable through our databases.

What Are Your Rights?

You have the right to:

  • know how and when we use your data

  • see the data we posess about you

  • correct any information

  • object to data use

  • request that the data be destroyed

  • withdraw consent where it was previously provided, free of charge or ramification

  • place a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO)

We respect these rights and will uphold them, barring any legal obligations. If you have any concerns about our handling of your personal information, please just let us know.

WEbsite Analytics

Cookies: When we provide services via our website, we want to make them easy to use, useful, and reliable. This sometimes involves placing small amounts of information on the device you are using for accessing the website, for example your computer or mobile phone. White Lion uses cookies to:

  • allow our provider, Squarespace, to recognise your device so you don’t have to give the same information repeatedly

Google Analytics: Our website also utilise Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. ("Google"). The information generated by the cookie about your use of our website (IP-address included) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States.

  • compile reports on website activity for website operators

  • provide other services relating to website activity and internet usage

Google may also transfer this information to third parties (where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf).

Social Media

If you share our content through social media, for example by liking us on Facebook, following or tweeting about us on Twitter, or subscribing to our YouTube channel, those social networks will record that you have done so and may set a cookie for this purpose.

In some cases, where a page on our website includes content from a social network, such as a Twitter feed, or Facebook comments box, those services may set a cookie even where you do not click a button.  As is the case for all cookies, we cannot access those set by social networks, just as those social networks cannot access cookies we set ourselves.

YouTube: YouTube is an online video service, owned and operated by Google, LLC. We use Instagram for community engagement, content sharing, and advertising. Instagram: Instagram is an app-based social media platform, owned and operated by Facebook, Inc. We use Instagram for community engagement, content sharing, and advertising. SoundCloud: SoundCloud is an online media service on which our Podcast can be streamed. Security & Changes

Security: The internet is not a secure medium. However we take reasonable technical and organisational precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of your personal information.  We have put in place various security procedures as set out in this policy. For example, our security and privacy policies are periodically reviewed and enhanced as necessary and only authorised personnel have access to user information. While we cannot ensure or guarantee that loss, misuse or alteration of data will not occur, we use our best efforts to prevent this. 

Changes: We may make changes to this privacy policy from time to time. If we change our privacy policy, we will post the changes on this page. If the change in our privacy policy affects the use of your personal information, we will use our best endeavours to contact you and seek your consent to the use. Continued use of our website or services will signify that you agree to any such changes.
